How it began

Many, many years ago, a very powerful magician known as Clow Reed, created 52 magical cards. (However, you will find out in the second movie that there is one extra card to balance the powers of all 52 cards combined together) Each card possessed one special ability from showering a certain area with flowers to creating massive earthquakes. All of these cards were classified as Clow Cards because they were forces of the master himself, which is Clow Reed. He was able to control all the cards to perform beneficial tasks. As time passed by, his cards begun to get out of control and Clow Reed wasn't strong enough to restrain them. So he had no choice but to seal all the cards into a Clow Book. He created two reliable guardians because he had foreseen his horrible fate in the near future. What was it? He was going to die. Nobody knew how his death had happened because his past, present, and future was secretive. One guardian was to protect the book and to make sure that nobody had the ability to unseal it unless that person had magical powers. The other guardian was to test Clow Reed's newly chosen master and to determine if he/she was worthy of becoming a master. Keroberus and Yue were the guardians' names and both disagreed upon his prediction of his upcoming death. However, Clow Reed had no problem facing death because he knew there was a trustworthy girl that would continue his job. Who may that be? Of course, it's our very own Sakura Kinomoto.  

Many years later, a young Archeologist named Fujitaka (as you all probably know, he is Sakura's father) was finishing up his work in a library when he noticed one of the books in the shelves was glowing. Out of curiosity, he discovered the Clow Book that was slipped in-between two ordinary books. Since Fujitaka enjoyed making new discoveries, he brought it back home as an artifact so he could expand his research on it. He had tried to use many carpentry tools to unseal the book. After many attempts, he had failed to break open the seal. He decided to keep the book for further research so he kept it hidden in one of his bookshelves in his basement. Ten years later, his daughter removed it from its original place and discovered herself as a new master of the Clow Cards.

 Of course, she had difficulty to maintain her cardcaptoring schedule along with schoolwork as well at first. But as time passed by, she was able to cope with her busy schedule and to avoid revealing her magical powers in front of her other group of friends. With the help of Kero, Yue, Tomoyo, Meiling, Syaoran, and Touya, Ms. Kinomoto was able to capture and transform all of the cards. Along the way, she had discovered new feelings for Syaoran and had fallen in love with him without knowing it. Like many other animes, this story ended with Sakura and Syaoran living happily ever after.
