Battle Items

Throughout the series, some characters use a variety of magical items. They use them to summon their magic.

This is the Clow Key. This is bestowed upon Sakura when Kero (the guardian of the Clow Book) chooses her to be a Cardcaptor in the beginning of the series. When Sakura doesn't use the sealing wand, it transforms into a key to disguise its true form. However, she will need to recite an incantation to activate the key. Sakura wore this key as a necklace so that it would be convenient for her to use when a Clow Card appeared.

This is the sealing wand used for sealing up Clow Cards. In order to activate its powers, Sakura needs to chant an incantation because of the contract with the key. She also uses this stick to fly using the Fly Card. And, it can transform into a sword with the Sword Card.

This is the Star Key. Its functions are pretty much the same as the Clow Key. However, this key is created by Sakura herself, rather than Clow Reed. Instead of reciting the incantation to active the Clow Key, Sakura creates her own incantation to activate the Star Key. Sakura also wore this key as a necklace.

Unlike the wand Sakura used before, this was used to transform the Clow Cards to Star/Sakura cards using her own magical powers. However, she can only do this at critical situations. This wand is created by Sakura's magical powers: the power of the star.

This magnificent wand is created with the combination of Sakura, Kero, and Yue's magical powers. This was only used once in order to transform the Light and Dark Card to defeat Eriol's spell of darkness. You can also see the symbols of the moon, sun, and star.

Syaoran's sword is no ordinary sword. You can say that it is a magical sword that can summon the Clow Cards. Syaoran uses the sword to activate the ofudas so he may use them during a battle (of course, he needs to recite a incantation in order to do so). When the sword is of no use, it transforms into a tiny ball. This function is similar to Sakura's Clow/Star Key.

These card-like pieces of paper are called Ofudas (Chinese talismen). Syaoran uses them to summon the powers of water, lightning, fire, and wind. Each card have different element names written on them. He must recite an incantation in order to use them to attack Clow Cards or any other attacking objects.

This item belongs to Syaoran. He used this Laison Board in the beginning of the series to track down Clow Cards whenever he senses one. This board is also used for tracking down people who have magical powers (this is shown in Episode 8).

This is Eriol's staff. The techniques are similar to Sakura's Star/Clow key. However, he used this staff to summon unusual events (example: he can control the weather) so that they could help Sakura transform the Clow Cards into Sakura/Star Cards. Eriol can also transform Suppi and Nakuru into their true forms.

This bell was used by Kaho Mizuki. This was purposely left behind when Clow Reed passed away so that he could give the cardcaptor(s) another chance to defeat Yue if he/she was about to fail. When it has fulfilled its purpose, it will disappear.
